São Paulo, November 25, 2010 – Even, the largest builder and developer in São Paulo and one of the largest in Brazil, has once again been included in the Corporate Sustainability Index (ISE) of the BM&FBovespa S.A. – Securities, Commodities and Futures Exchange. For the second straight year, Even is the only company in Brazil‘s real estate industry to become a component of this select portfolio of companies committed to sustainability and social responsibility.

“Our concern with sustainable practices and initiatives is a permanent feature at our company and part of our vision,” said Carlos Terepins, Even‘s CEO. “We were the first builder in Brazil to become an ISE component and we are still the only company in our industry included in the index. We are very proud of this recognition and will continue working to improve even more,” he added.

In addition to its inclusion in the ISE, Even is also a pioneer among Brazilian homebuilders for its publication of a Sustainability Report in accordance with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines. Even‘s Sustainability Report is in its second edition and was recognized as one of the ten best in Brazil by the British consulting firm SustainAbility and by the Brazilian Foundation for Sustainable Development (FBDS).

Created by the BM&FBovespa in 2005, the ISE is composed of the stocks of up to 40 companies that adopt corporate sustainability and social responsibility concepts in their management. The index reflects the global trend of investing in companies with these characteristics, given the belief that business continuity can result in a profitable investment.

The new ISE portfolio, composed of 47 stocks from 38 companies, was announced today and will take effect on January 3, 2011. These companies represent 18 sectors of the economy and have combined market capitalization of R$1.17 trillion, equivalent to 46.1% of the total market capitalization of all companies listed on the Brazilian stock exchange on November 24.
