Even‘s 2012 Annual and Sustainability Report

São Paulo, July 2nd, 2013 – Even Construtora e Incorporadora S.A. – EVEN (BM&FBOVESPA: EVEN3), with operations in the states of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul and Minas Gerais and a focus on residential developments with units priced above R$250,000, we are very proud to share with you our achievement to strengthen even further our relationship.
Even‘s 2012 Annual and Sustainability Report (www.even.com.br/sustentabilidade/english) was reviewed by Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and was awarded level A+, which raises our report to the highest degree of transparency that a company can achieve. This result reflects our efforts to consider in an integrated and balanced way the environmental financial and social aspects in all our processes and operations.
GRI is a non-profit organization made up of multi-stakeholders who produce the most comprehensive sustainability reporting framework in the world, providing greater organization transparency. This framework, which includes Guidelines for Reporting Preparation, sets out the principles and indicators that organizations can use to measure and communicate their economic, social and environmental performance. The application levels reflect the number of indicators met by the organization, which are categorized into A, B and C. To attain A+ means to respond to all indicators and has the guarantee that the responses were checked externally by an impartial inspecting body, which increases the credibility of this process inside and outside the company.
At Even, we operate in three major fronts. The first is the focus on the product by means of Empreendedor AQUA certification. Another is increased incorporation of sustainability into the company‘s strategic planning. The third is a more robust engagement of those interested in the sustainability issue, a process which we expand and improve each year.
The report was prepared on this basis. It brings an in-depth view of the company‘s management in 2012 and the operational strategy for 2013 as well as its main results from the financial, social and environmental points-of-view.
